Associate Director (Sales) - Benelux/Geneva
Role Summary:
The Associate Director is primarily charged with raising assets from French-speaking Switzerland and the Benelux regions. This will be achieved through consultative relationship building with decision makers at fund management, family office, private bank and other wealth management companies. The postholder will focus on the distribution of CoinShares’ industry-leading crypto asset Exchange Traded Product (ETP) platform and the development of the CoinShares brand in Switzerland, Benelux.
Working closely with the CoinShares Research Team, the Associate Director will promote the understanding and investment case for bitcoin, ethereum and other crypto assets. An understanding of the wealth management industry will be essential along with a thorough knowledge of financial markets and passive investment products such as ETFs/ETPs. Familiarity with and an appreciation for crypto and blockchain technology will also be vital.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Materially contribute to the growth of the business and assets under management (AUM) of CoinShares’ investment products.
- Demonstration of expertise in relation to financial product distribution concepts, practices, and procedures, in particular as they relate to the field of cryptocurrency and digital assets.
- Develop and expand a network of existing and prospective investors within the region and meet with them on a regular basis.
- Meet a sales quota that is developed jointly with the Senior Manager and Head of Asset Management.
- Assist the Company in connection with taking appropriate and effective responses to inbound inquiries relating to the Products.
- Work with the Research Team to effectively distribute CoinShares research and demonstrate the firm’s expertise in the area of crypto assets.
- Attend industry conferences and other events to advance the CoinShares brand and product suite.
- Liaise with stakeholders and counterparties across the CoinShares business lines to foster cooperation and cultivate new business opportunities.
Undertaking any other such duties as may be reasonably required by the role.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Fluency in French
- An Undergraduate Degree (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in financial services or crypto experience, preferably in a sales or business development role
- Fundamental understanding of crypto assets and blockchain technology
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills necessary to form relationships with current and prospective clients
- Existing client base in Geneva/Benelux regions highly desirable
