Role Summary
CoinShares offers Accounting & Operations Senior Associates a unique experience balancing the requirements of the traditional finance sector with the evolving technology of digital assets. CoinShares’ team combines deep technical expertise in this emerging asset class with decades of experience launching a wide range of exchange traded products, giving employees an opportunity for continuous development with individuals who have a proven record of success in the market.
Duties & Responsibilities
The individual will have financial accounting experience and will be comfortable working on projects and tasks autonomously, while also collaborating effectively across multiple time zones.
- Support business processes, administration, and financial management
- Support launch and ongoing obligations related to SEC-registered 1940 Act and 1933 Act exchange traded products
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and regulatory reporting
- Execute administrative tasks, including but not limited to service provider applications; and managing the relationship between potential as well as established service providers and CoinShares
- Complete annual and ad hoc updates for existing products with service providers
- Maintain an accurate filing and record keeping system utilizing the internal document database for company documents
- Participate in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business
- Assist the Controller in daily operations, including reviewing service provider products and performance
- Maintain operations processes, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate the operational process for new product launches
- Assist with compiling materials for periodic Board meetings
- Provide support on ad-hoc business activities as and when required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Education:
- BA or BS in business, economics, finance, accounting, economics preferred
- BA or BS in business, economics, finance, accounting, economics preferred
- Experience:
- 3-5 years’ work experience preferred, preferably gained within a financial accounting environment
- ETF working knowledge
- Collaborative and able to create good working relationships across teams
- Organized and detail oriented with good project management skills and experience
- Analytical, critical thinker with a solutions focused approach
- Comfortable in analyzing large data sets
- Ability to work well under pressure across multiple tasks and with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in adapting to new computer software/systems, with advanced skills in:
- MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Google Workspace
- Adobe
- Apple/Mac
- Proficiency in adapting to new computer software/systems, with advanced skills in:
- Industry Knowledge:
- Experience with SEC-registered 1940 Act and/or 1933 Act exchange traded products required
- Understanding of corporate confidentiality and PII management practices
Salary Range: Base $115k-$125K, plus discretionary, annual performance based bonus and benefits
